Description

CanalScape – BCN

Protecting the Waterway heritage of the BCN and adjoining West Midlands Waterways through recognition and active involvment with British Waterways.

A group formed to be used as the interchange facility for information researched by experts, key enthusiasts and waterway workers for the benefit of protecting existing waterway heritage in the Midlands.

Information on waterway related sites, buildings, landscapes at risk, unprotected or undiscovered is readily welcomed.

Please post pictures and add files.

This is not a general waterway chat group, any such postings will be deleted
If you wish to discuss an item with other members please email them direct, this avoids "burying" the key messages
Messages will be thinned out to keep important information and issues at the "top of the list"

CanalScape-BCN is a private initative originally formed formed by Laurence Hogg in 2006 following the Sandwell Colliery wharf chutes demolition which should never have happened. Much assistance was given by Vaughan Welch at that time in pushing the project forward.

Site is now maintained by Laurence Hogg and other moderators.
