Saving Pete Best For Last
Say It Ain't So, Joe!!

Words cannot express how hard it is that we announce the retirement of Joe Donelan - "The Voice" of The Fab Five for the last four years, and a veteran of the local music scene for over 40 years.  For no other reason, but for changes in his job...and life in general...Joe felt it was 'just time'.  We wish "America's 2nd Youngest Teenager" all the best.

His final show  'Bon Voyage' party will be at The Fireside Inn on SAT. FEBRUARY 7th @ 8:30pm.  The bittersweet irony of the show date, is that it's also the official "8th Anniversary Party" for the band (as well as the brand).

Rest assured, we are already in the process of bringing Joe's replacement up to speed. And for a breath of fresh air, we'll be learning some new material.  But we are not making the official announcement until after Feb. 7th.  Until then, make plans to come out and see Joe in action 'one last time':

* THIS Saturday at Vernon Downs
* Sat Dec 27th at The Fireside, or
* New Year's Eve at Turning Stone

Our portion is FREEEE and we'll be playing our 'splendid time is guaranteed for all' collection of hits from The Beatles, British Invasion Beyond, in the Hotel Lobby from 11pm - 2am.  Call TSRC at 877.833.SHOW for all the details about the events going on throughout the resort, all night long into morning.

Joe Charlie & Paul
One of the joys of being in this band is when Joe, Charlie Paul make full use of their gifted 3 part harmonies, with just 3 acoustic guitars.  The last chance to hear JCP together as an Unplugged unit is at Vernon Downs THIS Saturday night.

Charlie  Paul have decided to carry on with a duo, as so many local establishments are leaning the way of duos to keep live entertainment affordable.  Their first duo gig is TONIGHT at 9pm at Asil's Pub in Fairmount.  They will be spreading their wings with the duo, and venturing into material from Tom Petty, The Eagles, David Bowie, Cheap Trick, and even The Foo Fighters!

Check the band website throughout the year, as the "Two Of Us" plan on playing at places like Quaker Steak Lube, The Retreat, and others.
Save The (Pete) Best For Last

Pete Best Band CDIt goes without saying that our show on September 22, 2008 at Meghan MacMurphy's
in Liverpool with original BEATLES drummer PETE BEST and The Pete Best Band was electric!

Their new CD Haymans Green... Pete's first all-original recording project ever, has been garnishing rave reviews world-wide.  And the most incredible part, is that we can call him (and Roag, Phil, Paul, Tont Tour Lady Teri) our very good friends.

We are The PBB's favorite band to work with in the US, and we take that very seriously.  Since our first landmark show together at Hooligan's (RIP) in our Liverpool in Oct 2006, we have been on the bill with The Pete Best Band 14 times...from Louisville, KY to Liverpool PA...from Alexandria Bay to Buffalo.

News has just come in yesterday that The PBB will be touring again in 2009!  Retirement doesn't seem to agree with Pete, and we're not complaining.  We are already planning on working with them again, so stay tuned for all the details.  Meanwhile, Fab Five Paul Linda plan on going over to Beatle Week in the UK next summer, and on the intinerary is The 50th Anniversary of The Casbah Club...Pete Roag's home for so many years, which hosted fabulous live rock roll BEFORE The Cavern!

Once again, we want to acknowledge all of our friends, family and fans for all the support you give us.  The Fab Five was booked SEVENTY TWO total times in 2008 throughout Central NY, including multiple charity benefits and festivals around the Northeast.  2009 promises to be another banner year.  Our success is because of you...our fans.  Cheers!
