EVERY local musician knows the empty feeling when they tell someone that they're "in a band called _______", and then the other person has a puzzled look on their face and says, "SORRY...
NEVER HEARD OF THEM!"
Ever since The Fab Five's inception in 2001, I swore that I would do whatever it took to NEVER have that happen! Thankfully, the local media - radio, TV, print and cable - have been very receptive to the band's efforts and accomplishments, including our trips to the UK, our CD releases in 2003 2005, and local concerts with Gerry The Pacemakers, Pete Best Band, Terry Sylvester from The Hollies and Joey Molland from Badfinger.
I'd like to take this time to say "THANK YOU" to the dozens of media folks who helped make The Fab Five a leading 'brand' in the Beatles Tribute Band world.

 UPDATE ON THE FINALE!

Sorry folks - I know I stated last month that info on our "Last Waltz" would be provided in the June newsletter...but I've had to re-focus my energies on a couple of 'life changes', while enduring a two week bout of Bell's Palsy. (Thank you to all who offered words of support.) I will be meeting with the Dino peeps very soon to iron out details.
But, I can tell you all this:
* The Dinosaur BBQ was just named "BEST BBQ IN THE USA" on ABC-TV's Good Morning America last weekend! So, the ticket price will include dinner at the greatest BBQ joint in the entire country! How special is THAT??!!
* Mark Dawson from THE GRASS ROOTS has confirmed he'll be attending performing!
Only 200 tickets will be available for purchase!! Hang on tight, and I will announce ticket info BEFORE July 4th weekend, after I finalize the menu and other details with the Dinosaur folks.
There will be a LIVE STRING ENSEMBLE and HORN SECTION! You'll hear Beatles songs never-before performed by The Fab Five from the Revolver, Magical Mystery Tour, Sgt. Pepper, Abbey Road and Let It Be LP's.
Plus, all proceeds from ticket sales and the memorabilia auction will go directly to the
Carol M Baldwin Breast Cancer Research Fund, and Carol herself plans on attending!

The greatest Beatles tribute band in the free world will be performing at The Stanley Theater that night (and a couple of the members might be stopping by after the show!). Come by The Devereux afterward to satisfy your Beatles' "deep cut cravings"! Also, our good friend STAN BULLOCK, who played drums for The Fab Five in Liverpool UK in 2006, will be visiting from North Carolina, and sitting in on a few songs!

These days, our duo is getting as much work as the full band! Charlie and I enjoy the more intimate nature of the venues, and we get to play a variety of songs from the 60's all the way through the 90's. Here's where we'll be in June:
